  • You use this software entirely at your own risk
  • SMS Relay is not responsible for any damage, loss, or harm that may result from using this service
  • This includes but is not limited to data loss, service interruptions, failed message delivery, or any other technical issues
  • You are solely responsible for backing up your data and ensuring compliance with applicable laws

3. Service Description

SMS Relay provides SMS messaging integration with Slack workspaces. The service includes:

  • Dedicated phone number provisioning
  • SMS message routing to and from Slack channels
  • Message history and management

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall SMS Relay, its owners, employees, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not use the service for spam, harassment, or illegal activities
  • Respect the privacy and rights of message recipients
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

6. Service Availability

While we strive to maintain high service availability, SMS Relay makes no guarantees regarding uptime, message delivery, or service continuity. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

7. Privacy and Data

SMS Relay processes message data to provide the service. We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with applicable privacy laws.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease, and any data may be deleted according to our data retention policies.

9. Changes to Terms

SMS Relay reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. SMS Messaging Consent and Opt-In Methods

SMS Relay facilitates SMS messaging between businesses and their customers through Slack integration. End-users consent to receive messages through the following verified methods:

11.1 Explicit Opt-In Methods:

  • Website signup forms where recipients provide phone numbers with explicit SMS consent
  • Customer support interactions with documented SMS consent collection
  • Verbal agreement with maintained consent records
  • Direct opt-in through business communication channels

11.2 Implied Consent:

  • When end-users initiate contact by sending SMS to business phone numbers
  • Follow-up messages related to customer-initiated conversations

11.3 Required Disclosures:

  • Clear notification that providing phone number constitutes SMS consent
  • Message frequency varies disclosure
  • Message and data rates may apply
  • Opt-out instructions: Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL
  • Help instructions: Reply HELP for assistance

11.4 Business Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed consent records for all SMS recipients
  • Only send messages to recipients with verified, documented consent
  • Honor all opt-out requests immediately and permanently
  • Comply with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and all applicable SMS regulations
  • Provide clear identification in all messages

11.5 Consent Record Requirements:

  • Date and time of consent collection
  • Method of consent (form, verbal, support interaction)
  • Phone number and associated contact information
  • Specific consent language presented to recipient
  • Opt-out status and history
